How do you get a better deal?
Swapyourdeals provides a secondary marketplace in which buyers and sellers can trade daily deals vouchers. It helps sellers who no longer wish to use their coupons, and buyers who have missed the original deal sales which are already finished.
How can you make the most of it and get a better deal? Here are some learnings from successful trader - Cathy.
Cathy told us she got one Japanese dinner voucher going to be unused since she was moving cities. She published the ad. on Swapyourdeals website. She tried to put as much information as possible, and of course a nice photo from the original deal website. Then she received 3 enquries in the following 2 days. Some was asking about expire date, some asked if they can use the voucher straight away. Cathy replied to all the requests, and hoped for the next round of connection. However, two of three stopped contacting her anymore. She didn’t understand why, since the voucher still has 3-4 months to use. Only one lady was following up, but asked for a price cut. Cathy could tell from the email that if she didn’t give the discount, this lady would go away too. Getting something is better than nothing. So Cathy decided to give the lady another 25% off the price she asked for. There was the deal!
Cathy was happy for the result. She said that some of her vouchers got wasted, this was the first deal she sold and probably she will sell more later on. Or maybe stop buying too many. 
So from Cathy’s story, three things to remember when you sell daily deal voucher:
1. Make your ad. informative and plus a photo
2. Connect with interested buyers promptly
3. Give some cost cut if necessary in order to get most of your money back.
